Read the text, then answer: « A surprise for Mum »

Last Sunday was Mother’s Day. Hiba and her brother Adam wanted to surprise their mum. They live in Bizerte with their parents.

On Saturday, they went to the shops with Dad. Hiba chose a cute necklace, and Adam bought a small bottle of perfume. At home, they hid the presents under the bed.

On Sunday morning, the children got up early. Adam cleaned the kitchen and Hiba prepared breakfast: milk, bread and a cake. Then they decorated the living room with balloons. They didn’t forget the card! Hiba wrote, “You are the best mum in the world!”

When Mum walked in, she was very surprised. She hugged her children and smiled. “Did you make this cake?” she asked. “Yes, we did!” said Hiba. It was a happy day for the whole family.

  2. I make a plan: beginning, middle, end.

A model text to compare with (after writing mine)

Last June, we had our end of year party at school. First, we decorated the classroom with balloons. My friend Sarra brought doughnuts and I brought orange juice. Then a funny clown arrived and showed us some magic. We laughed a lot! After that, we gave our teacher a gift and a card. She was very happy. We didn’t want to go home, because we will miss our friends this summer.

One good example among many: compare, don’t copy.
